Multiple sections bound together in library binding; each section individually paginated. Sections are numbered as follows: 324, 422, 578 -- published, respectively, in 1929, and 1932, 1936. The first section is titled "Wind Tunnel Tests on an Airfoil Equipped with a Split Flap and a Slot". 6 pages. The next is titled "The Aerodynamic Characteristics of a model Wing Having a Split Flap Deflected Downward and Moved to the Rear". 7 pages. Section 3 is titled "Full-Scale Wind-Tunnel and Flight Tests of a Fairchild 22 Airplane Equipped with a Fowler Flap". 19 pages. Each section is followed by multiple figures and tables. The entire volume, with original covers, has a later library binding. Gutters at front and back reinforced with white cloth. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the front free endpaper. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Light rubbing to covers. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before the committee was abolished upon creation of NASA in 1958. Section 1 is 13 pages followed by 10 figures, published in 1929, titled "Wind Tunnel Tests on a Model of a Monoplane Wing with Floating Ailerons". Section 2, titled "Wind-Tunnel Research Comparing Lateral Control Devices, Particularly at High Angles of Attach VIII. Straight and Skewed Ailerons on Wings with Rounded Tips"", is 13 pages, followed by figures and tables. Published 1933. Section 3, published in 1933, is titled "Wind-Tunnel Research Comparing Lateral Control Devices, Particularly at High Angles of Attack IX. Tapered Wings with Ordinary Ailerons (No.449)". 14 pages plus figures and tables. A drawing in pen at the end of that section. Section 4, published in 1933, is titled "Wind-Tunnel research comparing Lateral Control Devices, Particularly at High Angles of Attack X. Various Control Devices on a Wing With A Fixed Auxiliary Airfoil (No. 451)." 18 pages plus figures and tables. The entire volume, with original paper wraps, has a hardcover library binding. A strip of white bookbinding tape on the inside hinges to reinforce the spine. Two library stamps and some writing in pen on the inside free endpaper and a small amount of pencil writing on the original cover, which now serves as the title page. Pages within are clean and free of foreign markings. Corners of the boards are bumped and the covers are rubbed, especially near the spine. Comes from a large collection of technical memorandums from the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics before they became NASA.
