An important original mimeographed long poem about the riots, police repression, and general chaos that enveloped American cities like Levy's Cleveland in the late '60s, with the memorable lines: "only ten blocks away / from my total helplessness / from my boredom enforced by the state / they are looting stores / trying to get televisions / so they can watch the riots / on the 11 pm news." He pretty much nailed postmodernity right there. Taylor & Horvath B-14.
