In 1853 he emigrated…to Canada where he worked throughout the country until he was superannuated in 1891 [The United Church of Canada Archives]. Barrass, in the Gallery of Distinguished Men, profiles ministers working alongside him in the Temperance movement both in the United Church and other denominations.
