A4 paperback with plastic spine (212 x 300mm). 21 pp + 5 pp adverts, printed on one side only. Illustrated with cartoon illustrations by A. Trumpeter (John H. Manly), and lithographs by Major Lloyd Hood. Printed in brown ink on cream paper. Edition limited to 100 copies, numbered and signed by Brian Cadle. Slight fading to top edge of front cover but very good. The original (1866) was the first published work on salmon and trout in Tasmania. A contemporary review refered to it as "an inoffensive burlesque on the acclimatisation of the salmon." Barri Couta was the pen-name of Thomas Cook Just, and A. Trumpeter was Major Lloyd Hood. .…
