First edition. Fine in dust jacket. The title refers to the six prostitutes murdered by Jack the Ripper between August 7 and November 9, 1888. At that time a voluntary social worker in the center of the neighborhood in which Jack the Ripper haunted began to ask questions of journalists and policemen. He attended inquests and talked with people who knew the victims and recorded his findings and his speculations in his diary, which is this novel. Well-done! Sharp copy.
