This copy was numbered 216… but then crossed out by the publisher, Trevor Weston, with his initials on the colophon. Bound with thin card stiffeners inside the folded paper covers. Light sun toning to spine. The publisher (?) has written instructions in pencil (now part-erased) on the plain white rear cover to indicate that this issue is Version A (the book is slightly smaller than other versions). This is, indeed, a weird construction, with the 13 coloured illustrations folding out in a single stream. Pictures accompanied by a 36-line, nine-stanza poem, one stanza and one pictu…re to each fold. Number 133 of an edition of 199 copies signed by Hughes and Battye. This copy was actually acquired direct from the artist at his home in Quenington Mansions, Fulham, SW London in July 2021. A Fine copy, no faults or internal markings.. Signed by Author(s). Book.
