Red cloth hard cover with gilt titles within black frame on the slightly faded spine and no significant cover wear. Inside the front cover is a book plate - the gift of M Oppenheim (1853-1927, pioneer historian of English naval administration) to Bath Public Reference Library in 1919 when the book was presumably rebound, but none of the usual lending library labels. This volume contains 3 separate books which appear to have previously been cream or grey soft cover paperbacks. Surprisingly clean interior. Overall these books published in 1890 and 1892 and bound in one volume, and signed by two of the authors (Marlet, Harrisse) is in very good condition. Signed by Author(s).
