Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Softcover, staple bound book. Blue paper covers faded from age. Printed by and for Harvard in 1982 as a Thesis and then reprinted for wide distribution. 54 pages. This copy signed by Mary Marvin Breckinridge Patterson to Joseph Harsch on the half title page with inscription, with memories of our… days in wartime Berlin. Dated Feb 1983. Marvin Breckinridge Patterson was a journalist, photographer, and reporter. She was the first woman to broadcast on CBS during WWII; hired to do so by Edward R. Murrow. Harsch, to whom she inscribes this volume, was a reporter for CBS and the Christian Science Monitor, also reporting from Europe during the war. A nice association.
