Coming up on 100 years and still in very good condition, I am pleased to be able to offer: "Bahamas: Isles of June" by Major H. Mac Lachlan Bell. This small hard cover book was a bit of an eye-opener for me. It points out the importance of the local population in undertaking much of the productive work of the islands. And it also gives a good deal of attention to the historical fact that pirates operated in the Bahamas and thereabouts, including some words of praise from the Governor in his Foreword to this book! Please see the Table of Contents and the List of Illustrations for further information. Condition: This book is in very good condition which is what I found quite pleasing about it. The finely ribbed royal blue boards are generally clean and attractive with some edge wear and light bumping. The spine is a bit faded and the upper & lower spine tips a bit bruised. Inside, a former owner has left her name and date on the front endpaper but that is the only mark I found in the book. The interior pages and plates are clean and bright, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
