Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. An 'Aufsatzsammlung', a collection of essays, sixteen in number. Included are essays by C. Day Lewis and C. P. Snow. xi, 239pp. Walter Ernest Allen, 1911-1995, was an English literary critic and novelist and one of the Birmingham Group of authors. He is best known for his classic study 'The English Novel: a Short Critical History'. Interior of the book is clean and unmarked with bright white pages. Tight, square binding, no wear to the boards. Spine with gilt titles, is sun-faded, although the gilt lettering remains quite bright. We show no accurate, pre-determined postal rates available due to the huge variety of weights, dimensions and destinations. Each order is determined individually - at cost, using the least costly options. ABE is unable to post correct rates because it's system does not calculate weights or speed.
