Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Externally this beautiful book is in excellent condition with black and gilt stamping to boards and spine. Internally the hinges are very tender with webbing showing and the three title pages are detached. Otherwise there is some light foxing and marking to the bottom corner of the final few pages which does not affect the text. The book is very well illustrated and a small amount of care will return it to first class condition for its age. Contains book plate" No; 25. Presented to Lydia Jane Flint Junior, Sept 14th 1874" The book was published in a limited edition 'exclusively for the family and descendants'.
