Hardcover. Condition: Good. Second Edition. Ex-library with the typical markings. Rebound in 20th century brown leatherette. Benson's signature on page 2, inscribed "J Roosevelt, the gift of the author". This most likely was either James Jacobus Roosevelt (1759-1840) , or his son James I. Roosevelt (1795-1875) ; unfortunately the book lacks any more definite information on this former owner. In 1866 the book was donated to a historical society (either NY State or Buffalo) by a Mrs. A. A. Blanchard, and a pencil inscription on fep states such. Solid binding. Pages heavily foxed. Text with periodic early annotations in ink. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 127 pages; Signed by Author.
