Bereits in den 1970er Jahren wirkte Robert Foxworth als Haupt- und Nebendarsteller in diversen Kinoproduktionen mit, darunter in Verschollen im Bermuda-Dreieck, Damien ? Omen II und Prophezeiung. Einem breiten Publikum wurde er durch seine Rolle als Chase Gioberti in der Fernsehserie Falcon Crest (1981?1987) bekannt. Bei zwölf Episoden führte er zudem auch die Regie.

Inscribed on presidential bookplate affixed to fr…ont endpaper: "The President's Visit To Bermuda / March 15-17, 1991 / With best wishes and appreciation, George Bush / President of the United States." President George H.W. Bush spent three days in Bermuda in March 1991, meeting with British Prime Minister John Major, at what was titled "The Bermuda Summit." This copy of The Americans: The Democratic Experience was specially bound in full leather for intimates of the Bush family, including his son Neil Bush, General Colin Powell, former President Jimmy Carter, and others. During their time in the White House, the Bush family had five books rebound as gifts for the holiday season, including: The Americans: The Democratic Experience by Daniel J. Boorstin, The Americans: The National Experience by Daniel J. Boorstin, The Americans: The Colonial Experience by Daniel J. Boorstin, Inaugural Addresses: 1789-1989, and Webster's Collegiate Thesaurus. All were inscribed by President Bush on bookplates, from 1989-1992. Signed presentation copy of The Americans: The Democratic Experience by Daniel J. Boorstin, from "The President's Visit To Bermuda" in 1991. (illustrator). Signed.
