Octavo (18cm); white paper wraps, with orange titling on front cover and black ribbons on covers; top edge gilt; fore-edge untrimmed; glassine dustjacket; [4],5-66,[4]pp. Previous owner's name and date inked to front endpaper. Light tanning and surface wear, else Very Good+ in complete glassine dustwrapper. Shaw's full-length play was first published with Widowers' Houses (1892) and The Philanderer (1893) in Plays Unpleasant (1898), and explores a woman's experiences as a prostitute and brothel-owner.
