Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Condition: VG+-NF. 4to. size, lime green muslin-covered boards with a pine-green leather title tile and spine label lettered in gilt, and a forest-green top text block tint. Wood engravings by John Farleigh (signed), and this copy is number 772 of 1500. The Monthly Limited Editions Club newsletter and description card for this edition are laid in. The spine is lightly sunned, which has faded the green spine label to brown, but the gilt is bright and clear, except for a slight tarnish on 1 bar of the cover label. There is a very slight spine lean at the head, which has caused a slight binding separation there, but the heel is very tight. Otherwise the book is in excellent shape, text is bright and clean, and the text block tint is solid. In a VG forest-green slipcase that has some corner and edgewear, a few scuff marks, and has some sunning on the spine and around the mouth, but is otherwise tight and solid. A fine addition to any collection. Signed by Illustrator(s).
