Neuware - In two private performances for Prince Lobkowitz in the spring of 1804, two new works by Beethoven were played for the first time: his Third Symphony op. 55 and the Triple Concerto op. 56 for piano, violin, cello and orchestra. The art-loving patron Lobkowitz was thus able to appraise two f…reshly composed works, and Beethoven was able to make many an improvement before publication. The first public performance of the Triple Concerto presumably took place only four years later in February 1808 in Leipzig's Gewandhaus. Since then, this work has belonged to the standard repertoire of every symphony orchestra. The piano reduction of this Urtext edition is based on the score of the Beethoven Complete Edition, which was likewise made by Bernard van der Linde. The editor's preface provides detailed information about the complicated source situation of this concerto for three soloists.; Deux nouvelles oeuvres de Beethoven furent données pour la première fois à Vienne au printemps 1804 lors de deux représentations privées pour le prince Lobkowitz. Il s'agit de sa 3e symphonie op. 55 et du triple concerto op. 56 pour piano, violon, violoncelle et orchestre. Mécène et grand amateur d'art, Lobkowitz eut ainsi l'opportunité de découvrir deux oeuvres fraîchement composées tandis que ces auditions permettaient à Beethoven de procéder à quelques améliorations avant impression. La première représentation publique du triple concerto n'eut vraisemblablement lieu que quatre ans plus tard, en février 1808, au Gewandhaus de Leipzig. Depuis, l'oeuvre appartient au répertoire de concert habituel de tout orchestre symphonique. La réduction pour piano de cette édition urtext s'appuie sur la partition de l'édition complète des oeuvres de Beethoven également préparée par Bernard van der Linde. La préface de l'éditeur donne des informations détaillées sur l'état des sources relativement complexe de ce concerto pour trois solistes.; In zwei Privataufführungen für den Fürsten Lobkowitz wurden im Frühjahr 1804 in Wien zwei neue Werke Beethovens erstmals musiziert: seine 3. Der kunstliebende Mäzen Lobkowitz konnte hier zwei frisch entstandene Werke begutachten und Beethoven konnte so vor der Drucklegung noch manche Verbesserung vornehmen. Die erste öffentliche Aufführung des Tripelkonzerts fand vermutlich erst vier Jahre später im Februar 1808 im Leipziger Gewandhaus statt. Seitdem gehört das Werk zum gängigen Konzertrepertoire eines jeden Symphonieorchesters. Der Klavierauszug dieser Urtextausgabe stützt sich auf die Partitur der Beethoven-Gesamtausgabe, die ebenfalls von Bernard van der Linde betreut wurde. Das Vorwort des Herausgebers gibt ausführlich Auskunft über die nicht ganz einfache Quellenlage dieses Konzerts für drei Solisten.
