This copy is inscribed on the front free endpaper: "To Billy Crystal, with thanks. Bill Clinton / Dec. 20, 2006." Comedian Billy Crystal, a lifelong democrat, became friendly with President Clinton early in Clinton's administration. He was a frequent White House guest, often acting as emcee at political fundraisers. The two remained close after Clinton left the White House, with Crystal working to build support for the Clinton Foundation and Presidential Library. Both men gave eulogies for Muhammad Ali in 2016. Inscribed to actor and comedian Billy Crystal, the first printing of The William J. Clinton Presidential Center: Building A Bridge to the 21st Century. (illustrator). Signed.
