First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Fine. Devorss, Billy (illustrator). First Edition. Original 1938 Billy Devorss pin-up poster, 30" x 15 1/4". Fine. Published by The Weiller Company, a Philadelphia poster printer of that era. "Posing Pretty", featuring a fetching model in a thoroughly clinging satin gown with flamboyant red hat (see scan). One of the nearest to pristine posters I've seen from the thirties. Billy Devorss' work was then - and remains - immensely popular, lightly blending, as it did, the pin-up style with a hint or Art Deco. One of a handful of pin-up artists to achieve super-star status. Printed stylish artist's signature located under model's posterior on the print. Original thirties print, not a reproduction. Ships rolled. LRAB.
