With ninety five photographic plates, collated and complete. The top corner of the half title is missing. In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding. Externally, smart. Lightly rubbed to the boards and the spine, with some marginal wear to the extremities. The rear hinge is starting, but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound, with a little tenderness between pages 40 and 41. The plate between pages 12 and 13 is disbound, but present. Aside from the end papers which are rather age-toned, pages are bright and clean throughout. Very Good. book.

Joseph Conrad's copy with the Hodgsons 1925 auction dispersement label. Volume II only, the first volume's whereabouts remain a mystery despite our attempts to locate the same. Very good but somewhat cocked, wear to edges.
