Program from Levine's show at the MacKenzie Art Gallery from November 13 to February 14, 1999. A generous sample of her work. Both colour and black and white photographs, as well as articles from Maija Bismanis and Timothy Long. Catalogue of a retrospective exhibition presenting 69 ceramic pieces made by Levine between 1965-1995, within the categories of pottery, Pop, Funk and realist sculpture. Bismanis provides historical information about ceramics, including: the Arts and Crafts Movement's position and the innovative role of the English artist B. Leach (in conjunction with Asian influences); the Regina "clay scene" of the 1960s; and the influence of Pop art, Funk art, Minimalism and Surrealism. Long's essay considers the sense of time / timelessness within the artist's work in relation to her treatment of everyday objects (including leather clothing, footwear, bags and suitcases).
