Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. With 65 tipped in colour plates. 7-1/4" x 10-1/4", 264pp incl. prelims. Printed on off white alkaline paper and bound in sewn signatures in maroon cloth boards with yellow / maroon head bands, in maroon cloth covered slipcase. Slipcase is decorated with pasted-on plate, with title block stamped in gilt below. Minor shelf wear, age discoloration to slipcase. Gilt stamping on spine is faded to near illegibility. Binding is square and tight. Previous owner's name in light pencil on front free end paper, which shows shadow acidification where a newspaper clipping, now lost, had been laid in. Pages are otherwise clean and bright and unmarked.
