Legatura coeva in piena pergamena, titolo calligrafato al dorso, abile restauro a piccola porzione della cuffia inferiore. Illustrato da 12 belle incisioni in rame poste all'inizio di ogni canto, attribuite a Ercole Bazzicaluva (Michel,i,pag.178 e Olschki,I,445  le attribuiscono a Della Bella) riecheggianti lo stesso "fragor d'armi in cui l'artista, amò vivere la maggior parte dei suoi giorni". Il Bazzicaluva fu  attivo a Firenze dalla prima metà del sec. XVII,  quasi contemporaneamente al Della Bella, con il quale ebbe in comune la scuola e  lo stile. Poema in 12 canti in ottave. Poeta bolognese ed attore, il Bocchini fu autore soprattutto di rime dialettali. Poema eroicomico assimilabile alla Secchia Rapita del Tassoni, come nel  poema del Tassoni, l'autore narra delle lotte tra bolognesi e modenesi. Il testo è suddiviso in due parti: i primi 4 canti vengono narrate le lotte tra i Petroni e i Gemignani negli altri 8 canti le discordie sorte a Bologna tra le famiglie dei Lambertazzi e dei Geremei. Esemplare in discreto stato di conservazione, abile restauro al frontespizio figurato, qualche lieve ed uniforme ingiallitura della carta su alcuni fogli; le pagine 31-31 sono state inserite tra la pagina 40 e 41, pp.358-359 erroneamente numerate 348-349.  .
