In 1957 she turned her life in a new direction, taking a job on the staff of Senator John F. Kennedy (see p. 23). She typed his speeches, responded to correspondence, and was a liaison to supporters during the campaign. Includes numerous photos of Jean with Kennedy and other supporters, and of some other ephemera from her collection. Jean continued on with the Johnson administration until 1967; then working with AID until 1979. Jean Lewis had celebrated her 100th birthday and was still alive to receive a copy of this book from the author. ISBN 9780994865748.
