René Char was a French poet associated with the Surrealist movement which peaked in France during the first few decades of the twentieth century. Char was also a thoroughly committed member of the French Resistance, and refused to publish anything during the Occupation. This Bibliographie Des Oeuvres De René Char De 1928 À 1963 offers a precise catalogue of the works he had published by 1963. In the original publisher's binding. Externally, generally smart with age toning and the odd mark to the covers and spine. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, as well as rubbing, heaviest to the joints, which has resulted in minor splitting to the tail of the cover's spine. Rear hinge strained. Gedichtsammlung von Pierre-André Benoit, von diesem als Privatdruck auf Vélin und Japanpapier in losen Lagen in illustrierter Flügelmappe, signiert von Julie Nadot, im Jahre 1960 herausgegeben. Das Buch enthält vier Cartalégraphien von Georges Braque, von denen drei von Braque in Bleistift jeweils in der rechten unteren Bildecke handsigniert wurden. Eines von sechs römisch nummerierten Exemplaren der Vorzugsausgabe mit zusätzlichen signierten Probedrucken auf verschiedenen Papieren. Die Gesamtauflage der Publikation betrug 40 Exemplare. Hier Exemplar V/VI, im Kolophon von Pierre-André Benoit monogrammiert und nummeriert. Von allergrößter Seltenheit, insbesondere in diesem nahezu makellosen Zustand. Von uns ist kein vollständiges Exemplar in einer Bibliothek nachweisbar. Ebenso ist zu vermuten, daß nicht mehr sechs Exemplare erhalten sind, da auf dem Markt ein Einzelblatt auktionierte worden war. [Vgl. Coron, Le Fruit donné, 40, sowie Vallier, 155].
