Condition: Good. 1965. Reprinted. 290 pages. No dust jacket. Pictorial cloth covered boards. Black and white diagrams throughout. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some mild marking and tanning. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled but remains brighter on front.

Condition: Good. 1962. Reprint. 290 pages. Beige pictorial dust jacket over brown cloth. Pages are lightly tanned at the edges, with light foxing. Occasional thumb marks to pages edges. Binding has remained firm. Prize plate to front endpaper. Boards have slight shelf wear with bumping to corners. Spine ends are a little crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Slight forward lean to text block. Boards are slightly bowed. Light wear to clipped dust jacket with tears, nicks and creases to spine, edge and corners. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Paperback reprint, 1976, in overall very good used condition with only minor signs of age, handling and storage - slight rubbing to edges and light crease to front lower rh corner. Binding tight and appears little read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. In a blue cloth hardcover with gilt titles to spine and front. 290 pp. with numerous black and white illustrations. The book is in fair condition with minor shelf-wear to the extremities of the cover, the front is marked and the spine is sunned. The hinges are intact but the binding is slightly slack. There are school stamps to the front end papers. There is foxing to the end papers, half title and end fly leaves, and to the edges. One page has a small biro mark, otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked.
