Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Robert M. Adam (illustrator). 1st Edition. Beautiful black and white photographs of the mountains and valleys of Scotland, with appropriate literary excerpts. The book is square with sound hinges. All pages except the endpages are clean and undamaged. The front and rear endpages, and front and rear pastedowns (inside front and rear covers) show some tape scars, a signature, and a short gift inscription. Red cloth covers show just a few tiny spots but are mostly clean. Corner tips are blunted. There is a half-inch tear in the cloth at the top edge of the seam between back cover and spine and a dent in the top edge of the back cover. The front panel of the dust jacket is clean, with a few minor spots and slight soiling to the spine and back panel. The inside front flap is price-clipped, has a seven in a diamond stamped on it, and has some tape scars. There is a three-inch tear from the top edge of the seam between rear inside flap and back panel, and several other small assorted edge tears and chips. Book and dust jacket will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.
Condition: Good. Most items will be dispatched the same or the next working day. With scuffed edges to the red cloth boards and lacking a dust jacket. A little tanned about the page edges and endpapers but overall a clean, tight copy.
