That was preceded by British. This is the First Amerrican Trade. 1930 date is on the TP. This is the first copy I've sen with the inner DJ AND the publishers laid in "Note". VG+ book in TWO DJs. Outer DJ conventional, inner of thin paper.

Robert Bridges was the Poet Laureate of Great Britain from 1913 to 1930 so these poems were probably all written during this period. Please find his collection of poems, titled: "The Testament of Beauty". It was originally published in 1929 but this…is the fifteenth reprinting (dated 1944). According to my research, it is not often found with the dust jacket. Please see the photo of the Table of Contents for your information. I note that some of the pages toward the rear of the book are still uncut. Furthermore, the "Publisher's Note on the Text", a two and a half page addendum is tipped-in at the back of the book. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some edge wear to the dust jacket with small tears on all corners and spine tips, and along the gutter. The hard covers have clearly benefited from a life of dust jacket protection; they are clean and bright and so too, the gilt titles. The spine is a bit darkened. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages and clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
