A very scarce second edition copy of this work of Masonic history. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with a calf spine label. Written by Bro. C. E. Ferry, with an introduction by Bro. William James Hughan. With the bookplate to Andy Durr to the front pastedown, and a ink inscription to the front endpaper. It reads 'To Bro. J. Dermott. With fraternal . from Bro. John Nuit'. Illustrated with 7 plates and 1 folding plate. With several annotations throughout the volume in reference to the text, referencing the history of several masonic lodges. In addition there is a clipping tipped-in to page 95, in reference to the death of Mary Hannah Dyson, whose husband R Dyson is reference in the text. An interesting work of Masonic history, who interesting notes and annotations the previous owner. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with calf spine label. Externally lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine and also to the extremities. Rubbing the calf spine label, with patches of rubbing to the joints. Two small tidemarks to the front board. Bookplate to the front pastedown and a ink inscription to the front endpaper. Light offsetting to the front and rear endpapers. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot. Light offsetting to the tissue guards. Very Good. book.
