The late great Jill Johnston (1929-2010) was a critic, radical lesbian feminist and champion of the avant-garde, and the book bears her distinctive stamp in blue ink on the title page which reads "Write first. then live. J.J." Laid in a Macmillan courtesy review slip from the time of publication. The book is in Very Good condition with bottom points lightly bumped, and the dj has some edge-wear but no chips or tears. A 2019 New Republic piece examines the relationship of Brockman and the late Jeffrey Epstein.
First edition. Signed on the Dedication page by Brockman for actor Dennis Hopper with his name there replacing the printed dedicatee; 100 pages plus notes and bibliography. Hardbound in very good condition in a very good dust jacket; impression from paperclip on front of jacket and mildly affecting cloth; Slight wear to head of jacket spine.
