Hardcover. Condition: Very good plus. Second edition. Inscribed by Brown on the front endpaper; "With the compliments of A.C. Brown." Fixed to the front endpaper is a signed letter from Brown to Arthur-Haynsworth-Masten relating how few copies he had printed. Additional signed letter from Brown presenting this second enlarged edition, fixed to the rear endpaper. A factual Civil War narrative of Grant's campaign against Richmond in the May to December 1864 period. Dornbush; Military Bibliography of the Civil War, Vol. 1, N20. Broadfoot; Civil War Books, pg 64. Two small notices of the author's death fixed to the rear free endpaper. From the library of Arthur-Haynworth-Masten with his neat bookplate placed on the front paste-down endpaper. Bound in original brown cloth with lettering and border stamped in gilt. A very good plus copy. Signed and inscribed by the author. Book.
