The hinges of volume one are weak and weaker still on volume two but still attached. Otherwise very good strong copies except for v…olume two, the cover is soiled and stained ( from an unknown substance). Despite these faults still a very respectable set. Many of these were issued to libraries so these are likely better than many. " Of this edition 200 copies were printed for the use of the Senate Committee of the District of Columbia. This copy number 118 is presented to . , a member of the commission to prepare a plan for the development of the park system of the District of Columbia April the 10th 1901" and signed by the clerk Charles Moore who wrote the introduction and the Chairman of the commission. A heavy set weighs about 25 pounds. Signed by Author(s).
