Hbk; blue cloth boards; no lettering to front cover; gold lettering to spine; Frontis (b/w line drawing) is 'the children peeped at her excitedly'; 3 further b/w plates (as issued) ; all these match Sue Sims points for a 1st edition - however she put 280pp. I wonder if th…is is a misprint, as the copy has 220pp - but as every other point matches, I am fairly sure this is a 1st edition. (also the previous seller has left inside that they sold it as a 1st edition some years ago). An attractive copy of a very scarce title - the final one in the Torment series. No hand writing inside. Just slight cracking at rear hinge. ; Torment Series; Vol. 3; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 220 pages. Illustrated by Enid W Browne (illustrator).
