Sold to benefit the Walden Woods Project, which "preserves the land, literat (illustrator). Artist Proof Copy. Framed with conservation glass, gray matte finish, full piece measures 28.5 x 23. Includes the original purchase receipts from 1994 and a certificate of authenticity from the artist, N.P. Santoleri, dated "9/9/93." This work is hand-numbered by the artist (35 of 50). It is signed in pencil along the bottom quarter of the print by the following artists: Don Henley, Elton John, Sting, Melissa Etheridge, Jimmy Buffet, and the members of Aerosmith (Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer). The 50 Artists Proofs of "On Walden Pond" were signed by the artists who participated in the Concert for Walden Woods at Foxboro Stadium on September 6, 1993. Due to time constraints, the signatures of Aerosmith were received by the artist before a concert on Long Island, the day before the performance at Foxboro.
