This well-painted scene is likely of 20th century vintage. / The Dutch scholar Peter Burman was professor of the art of rhetoric and the history of Utrecht, and also of Greek philology. In 1715, he succeeded Perizonius, receiving the chair of history and the Greek language and the art of rhetoric at the Lyon-Batava Academy. Das hintere Innengelenk liegt daher etwas frei ist aber trotzdem noch stabil. Beim Umklappen des vorderdeckels ist ein leichtes Klacken im Material hörbar, bei vorsichtiger Verwendung lässt sich das Buch aber gut öffnen und durchblättern. Der Buchblock / die Seiten sind in einem guten bis sehr guten Zustand.
