It was formed in 1878 by Bernard Quaritch, and functioned continuously until around 1940. Members were notable men with a wide range of interests and each gathering was addressed by a member on some, usually arcane, subject.Each member had a club name ÔChroniclerÕ SalopianÕ ÕHorologerÕÕExaggerator Õetc. Delivered at the Freemasons' tavern, Great Queen St., June 6th, 1884. Slight rubbing with some tanning on the front lower corner, otherwise near very good. Signedes.
