The front board has a color, pastedown illustration. 87 pages; color illustration on endpapers; 12 of the rhymes have music arranged by Joseph Knecht and color illustrations (color frontispiece is for one of them); b & w illustrations. Spine strip has faded, is frayed on the ends, and the gilt is darkened. Three corners of the front board are a little threadbare. Back board has two faded spots, up to 3 1/2 in. Text block ends are darkened. The owner's block has information in pencil in a heavy hand. Endpapers and copyright, contents, and last page are foxed, as is the top corner of a few other pages.
