Steve, que la ziggurat de Suse " démantelée" par Assurbanipal vers 640 av. J.-C, s'élevait exactement à l'emplacement de la terrasse mise au jour par les fouilleurs, et qui était l'ancêtre de cette Tour à étages qui remontait " aux origines mêmes de Suse ". Le niveau le plus ancien atteint par la fouille donne, pour la première fois depuis trois-quarts de siècle que dure la fouille de Suse, une claire idée de ce qu'était la métropole à cette époque. C'était le moment le plus florissant de la période qui correspond à celle d'Obeid 4, Giyan V C, Sialk III, 1-3, Gawra XII-XIII. Cette claire vision de Suse à ses débuts, prend d'autant plus d'importance qu'on a acquis, depuis peu, une connaissance de l'extension de la civilisation élamite en Iran. Les Élamites identifiés par les fouilleurs à Sialk n'étaient pas installés sur ce seul point du Plateau. Des découvertes au Sud (Mission de Harvard) et au Nord-Est (Musée de Téhéran) de Kerman illustrent l'expansion de cette civilisation loin veis l'Est. Ce rayonnement rend encore plus plausibles les rapports entre la Susiane et la vallée de l'Indus qu'évoquent les auteurs de ce volume. Neste trabalho são desenvolvidas e analisadas estruturas multiníveis do tipo CC-CA aplicadas ao acionamento de máquinas hexafásicas e do tipo CA-CC-CA alimentando cargas monofásicas e trifásicas.
