El protagonista de "Orisón de Oreto" se sitúa en esta novela histórica "Orisón de Zama" en una llanura de Túnez donde se acabó la II Guerra Púnica. El personaje y sus hijos recorren muchos territorios, no solamente Oretania, sino también el norte de África e Italia, sobre todo Roma. Uno de los personajes más importantes de la novela, según el autor, es Plubio Cornelio Escipión "El Africano Mayor", "al que, de alguna manera, revivo en la novela. También se dan los clásicos enfrentamientos que hay en las poblaciones cuando llega una cultura superior como fue la cultura romana, a unas poblaciones más primitivas. Entonces se produce la clásica disyuntiva entre aquellos que se apegan al terreno y la tradición y aquellos que ven como una bendición la llegada de una población más fuerte, la romana". Aunque desconocido por el gran público, Orisón fue un personaje histórico cuya vida transcurrió en el siglo III a. C. Brevemente citado por Apiano en su Historia de Roma, este régulo oretano reunió una coalición celtíbera que venció a los cartagineses que mandaba Amílcar Barca en el invierno del 229-228 a. C. Como consecuencia de aquella batalla, moriría Amílcar cuando se retiraba. Y hasta aquí llega la historia real de la que se dispone sobre el personaje. Con tan escaso material se ha construido una narración que transcurre en los procelosos días del final de la Primera Guerra Púnica y comienzos de la Segunda, en territorios que abarcan sucesivamente Oretania, Cartago, Sicilia y buena parte de la Hispania prerromana. La novela invita al lector a viajar por poblaciones como Qart Hadast, Drépano, las Islas Egadas, Oreto, Cástulo, Gadir, Cartago Nova, Arse y Barcino, entre otras muchas de la España de aquella época que se citan en el texto. Sus ruinas constituyen hoy meros yacimientos arqueológicos, cuando no subyacen bajo el bullicio de algunas ciudades actuales. Los personajes, tanto reales como imaginarios, se interrelacionan en esta novela inmersos en los duros avatares de una época tan lejana como aquella y en un marco en el que la estricta historiografía y el discreto uso de las lenguas muertas, ya casi olvidadas, se transparentan ante los ojos del lector como un delicado velo sobre la fantasía narrativa. Héctor Huertas (Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real, 1942) es Doctor en Medicina por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ha publicado recientemente El húsar de La Mancha. Francisco Abad Chaleco (Sial, 2009) y nos presenta hoy Orisón de Oreto. El héroe ibero, una nueva narración que se enmarca dentro del género de la novela histórica. Su obra literaria, pendiente aún de publicación, abarca una gran variedad de géneros, entre los que destaca la novela: Diálogos con la memoria y Memorias del buen republicano; el teatro: La Divina tragicomedia; la poesía: Semblanza de Cecilio, Onyr y otros poemas y Poemas sensoriales. Ha sido colaborador de Canfali (semanario de Valdepeñas, Alcázar de San Juan y Alicante), con una columna fija en este último que totaliza los 180 artículos.
