At the time if his death in 2010, Robert Canzoneri was Emeritus professor of English at Ohio State University and was the first director of the school's MFA Creative Writing Program. Canzoneri earned his undergraduate degree at Mississippi College, a masters degree the University of Mississippi and a Ph.D. at Stanford University.
