Ships arrange alphabetically, generally with a photo and details of encounter with the enemy. Accounts for 820 ships and over 6,000 merchant seamen who lost their lives. Over 550 photos of the ships involved included. A wealth of data including many lists of individual seaman lost under varying circumstances. 6 Appendices and 3 tables of ships lost or damaged under varying circumstances and various awards and honors bestowed upon the ships and seamen.
