He was the first naval officer to head the elite Aerodynamics Flight at Farnborough where he tested captured German types at the end of World War Two. In this book he records his 'from the cockpit' experiences testing British and American carrier aircraft. Carrier operations are potentially the harshest and most dangerous test aircraft and pilot can face.
