Collection of 14 vintage studio still photographs from the 1961 film. Based on Grace Metalious' 1959 Novel "Return to Peyton Place," sequel to her 1956 novel "Peyton Place," which was made into the acclaimed 1957 film by Mark Robson, Jose Ferrer's "Return to Peyton Place" takes place some eight to ten years after the events of the first film and features an all-new cast. Allison Mackenzie (Carol Lynley) writes a controversial novel detailing secrets of Peyton Place, New Hampshire, outraging many of the residents. Featuring a wonderful performance by veteran actor Mary Astor as the haughty, domineering Mrs. Roberta Carter. Shot on location in California and Massachusetts. 8 x 10 inches. Near Fine overall, some light creasing. One with a closed tear to right side and one with a couple small pinholes and scratching near center.

Jerry Wald is best remembered for his long and successful association with Warner Brothers as both a screenwriter and producer of a number of notable films, including "Mildred Pierce" (1945), "Humoresque" (1946), "Key Largo" (1948), and "Flamingo Road" (1949). In the 1950s he moved to Twentieth Century-Fox, and was the producer there for "An Affair to Remember" (1957), "Peyton Place" (1957), and "Sons and Lovers" (1960). Based on screenwriter Fred Gipson's 1947 novel "Circle Round the Wagon," about two young brothers go on a hunting trip with an older friend. Fabian's film debut. Gipson's second published novel, preceding his better-known 1956 novel, "Old Yeller." Shot on location in San Bernardino. Bound in light blue cloth with navy quarter leather binding, with five raised bands and gilt titles on the spine. Title page present, dated July 9, 1959, noted as Shooting Final, with credits for screenwriter-novelist Fred Gipson and screenwriter Winston Miller. 143 leaves, with last page of text numbered 111. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages throughout, dated variously between 7/13/59 and 7/22/59. Pages Near Fine, binding Very Good plus, front board slightly warped.
