Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Hurst & Blackett Publishers, 1853, 8vo, 2 volums. Set bound in a half brown leather with leather corners, Marbled boards and endpapers. Two bookplates, most notable is bookplate of Liddell Hart who was a British soldies, military historian and military theorist. In the 1920's and later he wrote a series of militaty histories that proved influential among strategists. Five raised bands on spines, gilt decorated compartmentd, black leather title and author labels. Book set in very good to very good+ condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
