Este libro es el resultado de la colaboración permanente entre grupos de investigación de diversas universidades españolas, y constituye el más importante esfuerzo colectivo hecho hasta la fecha en España para contextualizar, sistematizar y analizar los principales componentes que enmarcan el nacimiento y auge…de la extrema derecha en nuestro país. Ya sea desde la relectura de la propia noción de "extrema derecha", ya desde las múltiples formas de manifestación del fenómeno, o del análisis de los factores que están en la base de dicha manifestación, los autores abordan desde distintos ángulos las especificidades del "auge" tardío en España y de las condiciones en las que se ha producido. La singularidad de esta investigación es que nace de un estudio demoscópico propio y específico, diseñado con este objetivo, en el que se incluyen elementos como las emociones que habitualmente no figuran en los estudios ordinarios; se trata del Estudio postelectoral Elecciones de Noviembre 2019, realizado por el Equipo de Investigaciones Políticas de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, junto con el Laboratorio de Encuestas Telefónicas de la Universidad de Granada. Los resultados de dicho trabajo han permitido construir esta lectura multifocal que explica la irrupción de la extrema derecha en España, y en concreto el caso de VOX, ahondando en aspectos tales como los procesos de adscripción, el peso del liderazgo, la articulación del mensaje, el uso de las redes sociales, o los nuevos y viejos issues, deteniéndonos en especial en el estudio de las emociones y del peso de las mismas en el voto a esta formación. De igual modo, se nos presenta un completo y complejo análisis, tanto descriptivo como explicativo de la geografía electoral en el voto a la extrema derecha, además de los factores individuales que están alumbrando la denominada cuarta ola de esta familia de partidos en Europa.

Their main goals are to help, assist, and monitor humans, especially people with disabilities. To achieve these goals, it is necessary that these… robots possess a series of characteristics, namely the abilities to perceive their environment from their sensors and act consequently, to interact with people in a multimodal manner, and to navigate and make decisions autonomously. This complexity demands computationally expensive algorithms to be performed in real time. The advent of high-end embedded processors has enabled several such algorithms to be processed concurrently and in real time. All these capabilities involve, to a greater or less extent, the use of machine learning techniques. In particular, in the last few years, new deep learning techniques have enabled a very important qualitative leap in different problems related to perception, navigation, and human understanding. In this Special Issue, several works are presented involving the use of machine learning techniques for assistive technologies, in particular for assistive robots.
