Heinz Kiwitz und die Kunst um 1930' erschien anläßlich einer Ausstellung von Werken des 1938 als Mitglied der Internationalen Brigaden im Spanischen Bürgerkrieg gefallenen Graphikers und Illustrators. - Stilistisch häufig im Gefolge Giorgio de Chiricos und Carlo Carrds genannt, erinnern manche Momente in Ceccottis Werk trotz ihrer unbestritten starken Originalität an Edward Hopper.
