Numbered 868 of a 990 limited edition, this book is bound in reddish brown cloth, spine has faded, titles and decorations in gilt, teg. Lower front corner is slightly bumped and there is some shelf wear, but copy is tight and unmarked with edges uncut, though pages and end papers show age discoloration. Frontispiece is color illustration by Lionel Edwards. 29 other full page illustrations in black and white throughout volume are by Edwards and Cecil Aldin. Edwards and Aldin are two of the finest and most renowned hunting/ horse illustrators of this period. Higginson, an American foxhunting man, has compiled an anthology of well known and little known pieces on his sport.
