This study is based on both historical and recently collected material. 12 genera have been recognized in the Middle Miocene of the Loire Basin, 5 of them, Turonadusta, Vayssierella, Risbecina, Kayella and Bradneria are introduced, 4 are extincr. 55 new species are described, to which are added 16 already known species, 15 species figured by our predecessors, inaccurately named, and 2 species left in open nomenclature. A total of 88 species were identified: 6 Cypraea, 2 Turinadusta, 10 Vayssierella, 12 Zonaria, 8 Kayella, 17 Schilderina, 10 Risbecina, 9 Hiraseadusta, 1 Bradneria, 1 Cribrarula, 8 Apiocypraea and 4 Simnia. It should be noted that half of the material studied is indeterminable, due to the immaturity of the specimens, or their poor state of preservation. The presence of the genera Hiraseadusta and Bradneria, currently typical of the epibathyal of the West Pacific arc, in the Touraine falunks is noteworthy, attesting to our lack of knowledge about the origins of many groups. A tribal taxon is proposed for Hiraseadusta. Neotypes are designated to consolidate the taxa columbaria, dujardini, ligeriana, decorticata and semen. In addition, 1 Hiraseadusta from the Middle Miocene of Romania, 1 Risbecina from the Lower Miocene of Aquitaine and 2 Apiocypraea from the Lower Miocene of Aquitaine and the Midle Miocene of the Netherlands are described. A neotype is proposed to fix the taxon of a Simnia from the Tortonian of Anjou: striatula (Millet, 1854). 190 pp., 38 b/w plates, br. 4.
