A lieutenant starts an affair with Catherine the Great, despite his fiancée being one of her ladies-in-waiting. Set in 18th century Russia. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with pinholes at the corners, some creasing at the top left corner, and a small tear at the top left edge.

There were always the occasional outlier artists who pushed back against the commercial constraints of comic books and envisioned the next evolutionary artistic leap in the artform: Charles Biro was one of those artists.
