Condition: Very good. First Edition. First Russian edition; 7 1/2 x 5; pp. [1], 4-43; light-brown wraps, decorated with a cartoon, in English, by William Allan Rogers (1854 - 1931); partially unopened; light creasing to fore-edge of wraps and tips of spine; mild foxing to margins of first and last few leaves; in very good condition.An uncommon first Russian edition of the President of the Carnegie Institute Samuel Church's "The American Verdict on the War," on the causes for the First World War. It was translated and published shortly after the original English-language edition was released. OCLC lists one copy at the Hoover; none in the trade.
