This is a presentation copy from Ciardi to John Williams, National Book Award winner (Augustus). Ciardi has written on the endpaper, "John from John With love, Key West, Jan 24 '82 Super Bowl Sunday." Williams also wrote the classic Stoner and Butcher's Crossing. Ciardi is the Dante expert in the U. S. as well as a very popular poet. Signed by Author(s).
